  • Travel & Logistics

For those traveling from out of state, we recommend flying into Fresno International Airport and booking a stay at one of the nearby hotels. WSA will coordinate transportation from the Fresno area to Yosemite. We'll reach out to you before your trip to confirm your travel details.

    Booking

A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot, with the remaining balance due 60 days before your departure date. Be sure to review our flexible cancellation policy before booking.

    Preperation

No prior backpacking experience is required to join; however, we recommend training before your trip. The route includes significant elevation gain and loss, and we reach altitudes of up to 11,000 feet.

Be sure your hiking shoes are well broken in, and you're comfortable with your gear. With personal and group gear, your pack will be about 30 - 40lbs for the ~4 mile hike to basecamp on day 1. The best training for hiking is hiking—so load up your pack and hit your local trails!

If you’d like training tips or have any questions about what to expect, feel free to reach out to us at info@wsadventures.co. We’re happy to help you get prepared!

  • Day 1

We’ll meet up around 9AM, pack up, and begin our journey with a ~2 hour drive up to Tuolumne. After lunch in the meadows, we will hit the trail around 2PM headed for basecamp at Upper Cathedral Lake.

    Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast at basecamp, we’ll set off for an adventure-filled day, summiting not one but two peaks. Our cross-country trek takes us first to the top of Tenaya Peak (10,266 feet), where breathtaking views of Tenaya Lake and Half Dome await. From there, we’ll continue over to Tressider Peak (10,600 feet) for a well-deserved summit lunch. After soaking in the sights, we’ll make a quick descent back to basecamp, just in time for a relaxing afternoon by the lake.

    Day 3

Today, we’re setting our sights on three incredible peaks. We’ll kick things off with a hike up to Budd Lake, before tackling Echo Peak (11,047 feet). From there, the adventure really begins with an exciting ridge traverse to Cockscomb (11,053 feet), finishing our peak-bagging for the day at Unicorn Peak (10,823 feet). After an epic day in the mountains, we’ll return to basecamp for a hearty dinner to refuel and unwind.

    Day 4

Our final day kicks off under the glow of headlamps as we ascend Cathedral Peak (10,853 feet) in time to catch a spectacular sunrise from the summit. After soaking in the morning light, we’ll make our way back down to basecamp, then head out to the trailhead where lunch and cold drinks will be waiting.
