Meet your guide at 7:30 AM at Cloud’s Rest Coffee in Oakhurst, CA. We’ll go over a breif orientation of the day, then drive up to the climbing area.
Follow your guide in your own vehicle to the climbing location. The forest roads are well-maintained, and the crags we visit are accessible with a 2WD vehicle. The drive takes about 40 minutes, mostly on paved roads, with a short section of dirt road near the parking area. While a high-clearance vehicle isn’t necessary, it can make for a more comfortable ride.
Once parked, your guide will go over a quick safety orientation and chat with you about your goals for the day. We’re here to make sure your adventure is just right for you, so we want to tailor the experience to your abilities and interests! If you’re new to climbing, we’ll focus on making sure you have a great time while covering the essentials, like how to use the gear, manage ropes, move confidently on the rock, and, most importantly, get in plenty of practice.
The wall is about a 15-minute hike from the cars. You'll spend the day exploring and climbing, with a break for a guide-prepared lunch, before finishing up around 5 PM.
